How safe are vertical platform lifts?

How long can a VPL last?

Porch lifts have long lasting durability similar to other mobility products like ramps or chair lifts. Wheelchair lifts rarely need any maintenance and only require a battery replacement once in a long while.

How much does a residential elevator cost?

The starting price for a residential wheelchair lift is usually around $9000 and can reach prices above $10,000 depending on how many customizations you get.

Are vertical platform lifts only for outside the home?

While they are considered porch lifts, VPLs can also be installed indoors. More construction work may be required for wheelchair lifts installed in the home.

Is construction work required for installing a VPL?

VPLs do require some preparatory construction work done for a safe unit. Space inside or outside your home is also required as these units are much larger than other mobility products.

How customizable is a vertical platform lift?

Residential Lifts can come with additional features not included in the unit such as differently types of landing gates, multiple remote controls and even a phone kit.

Will my VPL work during a power outage?

If the vertical platform lift is battery powered then yes. All porch lifts have the option to either plug into the home or use an internal battery.

Do residential lifts come with a warranty plan?
